Literature and Comprehension
Both grade levels are listening to me read Wonder by R.J. Palacio after lunch. Together we are discussing the various elements of the story (characters, setting, plot, conflict, resolution, point of view, and theme).
All students should be independently reading in order to reach their goal of 25 books read by the end of the school year. Please encourage your children to read at home! Thank you.

4th Grade
We are currently reading Holes. We are building our vocabulary and focusing on the elements of a story as we read through this. Comprehension and deeper thinking questions are being discussed throughout the book.
5th Grade
The Fifth Graders are reading Bridge to Terabithia. They are also increasing their vocabulary and working on the elements of a story while reading this text. We are making connections to Bible passages while reading.
